As a District Judge in the Utah State Courts, he focused primarily on complex civil disputes. As an advocate and litigator, he had a broad-based private practice centered mainly in the Federal court system, where he appeared before more than 50 different Federal Judges.
Among his clients were seven Indian nations for whom he served as attorney general, handling all litigation, business, legislative, natural resources, and other legal matters.
